Nzulezu, a village built on stilts over Lake Amansuri in Ghana, was founded over 600 years ago by people fleeing war. Today, fishing and tourism shape daily life. Even young kids master swimming, fishing, and paddling early.

I was surprised by how small and fragile the village is and how mass tourism impacts it.

One amazing fact: the fish help protect the community from malaria by eating mosquitoes. Nzulezu is a beautiful but delicate place that deserves respect.
